Well done, Lee!  Pretty well describes it.

I was originally bitten by the VAG bug when my parents bought a
(well abused by me) '78 Rabbit Champagne Edition, then my GTi,
followed by that evil beotch '84 4000quattro (still the most balanced
of all of the car's that I've owned, not the most fun, but the best
overall balance) and has culminated in my current 95.5 //S6.

Sad part is, there doesn't seem to be anything on the current market
that has that same vixen appeal. Even the Saabaru doesn't quite
have that same feel, as good as it is.
