You need to drive the A5 chassis Golf- the current GTI (not GTi) brings back
a lot of the "fun to drive"
of the A1 and A2 cars.

Power right now, in any gear.

Bank vault like feel- the car is a total rock. Very nice interior. Strange-
I really don't like the A3 but the GTI I like a lot.

No DSG for me, though- 6-speed manual all the way. Even bone stock, they're
a lot of fun.

You could go nuts with the new one though-
K04 upgrade, Bilstein PSS9, Volk LE37s, AWE exhaust, amp and speaker
upgrade, short shifter, swaybars and on and on and on....
