i never had a scirocco, either. when i became old enough to drive, i wanted a VW GTI 16v with the teardrop wheels. the scirocco was bigger and slower than the GTI.
my ride in high school was a '76 chevy caprice estate station wagon, white with fake woodgrain and clamshell rear window/gate. its best feature was its 455 cu. in. V8. i never delivered a pizza with it, but i won a lot of stoplight races with it, and may have thrashed a scirocco or two.
i'm pretty sure that doesn't qualify me for your club, but hopefully there's one for detroit V8 iron. the caprice estate is long gone, but i still have an '87 mustang GT.

Gee, youse guys got me feeling all deprived. Or is it depraved? I
never had a sore-rocco when I was a kid. Closest I ever came was a
'58 beetle and an '80 wabbit diesel both of which we drove into the
ground at well over 300K miles on each.
