Meguiar's plastic cleaner and polish, two products- works quite well on
plastic convertible top
windows and boat canopy windows, should work well for you. Easy to find at a
marine supply store,
don't know how easy at your local auto parts store. Another tip- do not use
paper towels or anything
like that to do this job- use microfiber cloths, make sure you're nowhere
near any stitching or tags
when you polish.

Can't help you with the socket, I never had any issues taking apart the
cluster once it's out of the car.
