I'm putting in an EDU; it is about to be rebuilt at STaSIS. They
recommended a 'shifter rebuild kit' that is 'available from the dealer' to
replace wear items in the shift mechanism. Sounds like a good idea - are
you guys familiar with the availability of this kit? They recommend
replacing all the bushings associated with the shift selector rods, and I'll
check that these would be included in a kit, if one is available.
Will put in new clutch, slave, pilot/throwout bearings, etc.
When does it make sense to replace the flywheel? I'm planning on staying
with the quiet and smoothness of the dual mass approach.
Also, I'm planning on new trans mounts and new engine mounts while im in the
vicinity.
Any thoughts, and specifically ever heard of the kit?
Seeking the most dakine oh-so-smooth box with happersized snick-snick and
full JNR capability, whatever the hell that means.
Thanks,
