[s-cars] transmission spacer

Martin-
I just helped my friend change a clutch in his B5 S4
(2001.5) because of a broken pressure plate spring.
We used the RS4 pressure plate/clutch like you are
planning. There was a spacer that bolted between the
transmission and the engine --it was approximately
1/2" thick and spaced the transmission back a bit. It
definitely was a separate piece from the transmission,
but not really that obvious when things are bolted
together as it matches the shape of the transmission.
Perhaps your used EDU transmission did not come with
this and it would solve your problem? I don't have
access to ETKA right now--but I'm sure you could find
the PN in there.
