[s-cars] How much rust should one expect to appear on a stainless steel exhaust?

Just out of curiousity how much rust should accumulate on the
stainless steel exhaust systems.  I understand that all metals rust at
somepoint but what is the general accepted level of surface rust over
say 1 light winter or there after?
