[s-cars] Phenolic spacers & turbo h2o feed line

Hi listers, I am about to embark on a couple projects and would like some
feedback.

1. My turbo water feed line below the IM -about a 6" long 5/8" diameter
hose- is failing and I would like to know about its material.. It seems as
though I could use generic hose bought nearly anywhere since it has no PN I
could find..  Anybody go the plumbing supply house route on this or is
there something specific?

Also I am thinking of removing the IM for cleaning/easier access, and
purchasing a phenolic spacer..
But I was also thinking of POR'ing my IM since it has a tendancy to get
grimy and seeing it shiny isnt my bag..
Is that jacket of paint defeating the purpose of the phenolic gain if there
even is a gain?

With the phenolic spacers I also question fit afterwards of of the samco,
throttle cable, block to IM brace, etc..

Any wisdom here would be appreciated, thanks.
