[s-cars] Wheels & tires from C4 S6 to B6 S4

List gurus:

 

I have my snow tire package off my now departed ’95 S6: Ronal R28 17 x 8.5
ET 30 with Nokian WR 225/45-17 that I would like to put on the arriving 2004
S4.  Stock set up on the S4 is 235/40-18 on 18 x 8 ET 43 wheels.

 

Will they fit?  Ronal and TireRack say no (won’t clear the brake calipers).
I could put spacers on I suppose or transfer the Nokians to a set of 17’s
that clear the rotors.  Input greatly appreciated.
