Mike:

I depends which axis (direction) is the limiting factor.

The Ronals are 1/2 wider and 13 mm more offset, in other words, the
centerline of the wheel will be 13mm farther out than the stock setup.
Spacers won't help here. Also, it may depend on the way the spokes are cast,
some wheels have concave spokes, allowing more (or less) clearance.

If the inside diameter is the issue, then there is nothing you can do, but I
doubt that Audi would not allow a properly designed 17 inch wheel to fit on
the S4.

The only way to tell for sure is test fit one of the fronts and see if it
clears.
