My 94 cabrio has a fuel line leak as I observed tiny bubbles and gas seeming
to come right out the side of the rubber hose that connects fuel filter to
hard line via a banjo bolt on the fuel filter side and a crimp connection to
the hard line..
I have cleaned the hose and coated the entire exterior Loctite cold weld
said to be unaffected by gasoline... we'll see.
Any thoughts on how I might splice in, perhaps a short (8") hard line to
replace this hose? What clamps might work for this?
Any other thoughts? It is crimped on to the fuel line and short of cutting
the line, I wouldn't know how to re flare the line and reattach.
I have learned that fuel line repairs are of the most nastiest dangerous
variety.
Maybe I should get with <10 yr old audi's?
Cheer's
