IIRC, on the CD root, I had a .sys file that should replace the identical
file in the FA directories. It solve the "Hardlock not found" while Hardlock
never solved the problem in my case. I'm with 7.0 now which doesn't have
this problem so I throw away the 6.3 CD and installation and can't be more
precise about the .sys file on the CD and in which directory the original
one is.

The other solution is to use FA 7.0, with a much better interface, not
requiring 1280x1024 so it runs on any laptop, and with no Hardlock problem.
FA 7.0 is still available on several P2P networks.

Howdy folks,

Anybody know the trick(s) for getting the family album to properly
install/operate w/ Windows XP?  I have 2 different CD versions, neither of
which I've been able to get to run.  Install seems to go fine but I get a
'Hardlock Not Found' error upon initiation of the program.  The software
warns that if this happens, run 'Hardlock.exe' fr the CD directly but when I
do, my system just stalls/locks up and the only way to recover is to
reboot..  Any suggestions would be apprecitated - thanks!
