[s-cars] Factory POS alternatives?

Tony: You need to open up your coil pack and inspect it for cracked coil wires (which sounds likely).
At the very least, in the short term, wrap the wires with the cracked insulation with electricians tape to
prevent a dead short that will blow your coil fuse(s) and put you out of commission at the side of the
road.
As for the 034 high output solution, it is a good one, but maybe overkill if you aren't making more than
350 hp and/or aren't tracking your car. However, if you can hold off a few weeks, there are at least
three of use working semi-independently on the LS2 coil alternative. This will come in as a DIY under
$400. The thing I like about it is the coils are available from a wide number of sources, including
MSD. 034 coils are exclusive to them. That said, their individual coil price is okay at around $69.
(Complete kit is in the $695 range IIRC).
But that is just my opinion.
