[s-cars] 95 S6 door not opening from inside

Agree that profuse lube is required, also I found that my car had been
operated on the remote for apparently 99% of the time and after
intentionally using the key to lock/unlock both doors repeatedly (for
several weeks I banned myself from using remote) in conjunction with
spraying of lubricants, that loosened and released everything inside. You've
obviously got water in there too but it might be water in combo with
dirt/goo like I had. Note it took many days of soaking and repeated cycling
for everything to start working properly - wasn't one of those nice 'spray
and work it for 2 minutes' fixes.

Agree that the handle situation could pop loose, but would respectfully
disagree about difficulty in case it comes off - taking the door panels off
is pretty easy on this car should worst come to worst and hooking the cable
back up isn't too rough (a pain yes...) Sadly with just the panel off it
doesn't offer you much additional access to lubing the lock/latch
mechanisms, because they are all protected by plastic shields and housings
meant to keep weather out. This is an improvement to prior Type 44 door
innards but it does make it harder to do a quick maintenance lube and
'free-up'...
