Paul -

AWD2 is wayz off for me. I have only had my S4 for 4 years - got 3 to go!
That is if I go my usual time frame for Audi ownership, and the RS6 I have
scoped out stays garaged, lightly driven and not for sale until then!
Meanwhile, my S4 sufffers from all the contagia (sp?!) that this list
propogates. Slow coolant losses, WOT miss, CD magazine won't eject, AWOL
defrost. Solutions? Biweekly additive of about a 4 oz of the pink stuff, 7/9
throttle, radio, towel. The car drives awesome, and it just wouldn't be an
Audi experience if I fixed all this no?

Der Scirocco (remember a Mk1 Scirocco "S" could be the original VAG
wassercooled "S-car" ....thereby qualifying for this list....I think....) is
coming along. Painters. Sheeeeeesh. Cars/houses it don't matter they all
suck fumes. Different breed fersure. FOUR months ago, when we opened the
$400 DOLLAR gallon of VAG LK5V Cirrus Grey paint, I thought it looked too
grey, not enough green. Guy looked at me like WTF do you know? We shot our
first test panel last week. Four panels later, and 2.5X the original green
tint, we matched the rear shock tower's original, covered by carpet for 27
years Cirrus Grey paint. They are doing a good job - but the story is too
long for this list.... Bottom line - it is an expensive, frustrating
process. Pics up by June I hope.

Squaw was insane. The guys I went with are poled up off the C-lift, and half
way down the black runs before the first breather. That way all day. Combine
this with the most incredible terrain, and the highest overall skill level
of skiers I have ever seen, it was quite a humbling experience. Yes, these
bones are gettin' old. Mr. Winter is prolly getting a chuckle out of
this.......

Glad to hear you are finishing the mancave. Every real man needs one of
those. Lifts? Dreams? Not. I have recently seen >new< 7000# two posters on
Craigslist for $1500, plus an additional $400 for install. That day will be
soon Paul. I have always said to buddies who chide my wrenching - but could
do Palmolive hand soap commercials - that I like working on cars ONLY WHEN I
DON'T HAVE TO. As long as I have an extra ride to jump in this works.
However, as I get older, my theory is becoming "only when I don't have to
- and as long as I don't have to get underneath".... You will have a lift
soon enough if only to facilitate fingerbanging the 930!

Nothing wrong with being a homie watching the big game with the fam. Since
it was such an awesome game - they will be way into it next year!

Stranger? The quattrolist -> audifans list-> s-cars list->_________list?

Never.
