no, it's not stock, but it's not too far gone yet. it has MTM stage II+, a GT2871 hybrid turbo, and samco silicone hoses. still stock injectors and MAF. i've been meaning to upgrade the software and injectors to RS2.
the hesitation happened up at tahoe, and hasn't returned in about 2 weeks of driving. maybe changing the software and injectors will make the problem go away. i do get somewhat inconsistent power output but it's not sudden. when i go to WOT i don't know exactly how much power i'm going to get. it's been like that for as long as i've had the car. i always thought it was due to 91 octane fuel out here in california.

When the coils failed, it felt just like a cylinder was taken away. Once it had progressed to this point, however, it did occur to me that I had felt some odd behavior in the day or two prior, specifically a rough idle. Complete failure was obvious about the entire RPM range, and especially at a loaded low rpm state, i.e., mid throttle, 2-2.5K rpm, 3rd gear.
WOT miss is an entirely different thing. Or things. Sometimes, I can hear a ping, and the knock sensors are backing things off, in a stuttery, slow sorta way. Othertimes, it seems to overboost, and cutoff is sudden and complete. My wife and kids keep me pretty busy, so I have not been able to look into this for, ummm, a couple of years now. So 7/9 throttle is where I am at, and mit RS2, that is more than enough to get me in trouble....
Is that a "stock" 155K 92S4?

my car is a little inconsistent in power output at WOT, and it shows up as a leveling off in power. however, last weekend, i felt several definite stutters at WOT. i'm wondering if my coils are starting to go - my '92 has 155k miles and the coils are original as far as i know.

bought
the
034
conversion
almost
two
years
ago
-
with
the
115L
coils.
Two
of
those
coils
have
gone
out
within
the
last
two
months.
Swapped
them
all
over
to
R's
this
weeknd
(thanks
Alvin).
FWIW
-
as
picky
as
I
was
about
this
install,
one
place
where
I
blew
it
was
where
the
harness
comes
up
and
over
the
cyl
head.
It
wore
through
the
anti
wear
through
sleeving,
and
shorted.
The
car
began
to
exhibit
occasional
bucking,
then
keep
going,
then
a
couple
of
days
later
a
no
start
in
a
parking
lot.
Thought
it
was
the
fuel
pump.
Hood
up,
scratching
my
head
I
see
the
harness
on
the
cyl
head.
Couldn't
really
see
if
it
had
worn
through,
so
I
folded
up
a
couple
of
business
cards
and
slipped
them
in
between
the
harness
and
the
head.
Bingo
and
I
am
on
my
way.
Called
up
034
and
ordered
the
#2
harness
-
and
never
heard
from
them
again.
Still
running
the
hightemp
tape
fix.
Also,
the
115R
coils
did
not
fix
my
WOT
miss.
