Teddy-
Normally the center bearing will tear away from the rubber that
surrounds and supports it. I think you can grab the drive shaft and
move it from side to side you will see if it is torn. Jack up the
drivers side of your car, install jack stands, and crawl under it. I
believe you can see your center bearing between your exhaust pipes.
Now it could be your center bearing or it could be that your front CV
joint has just stiffened up because all of the grease got baked hard
from the CATS. If it is not free enough to act like a CV joint then
your drive shaft will shutter.
If you have not re-greased or replaced your front CV then even if
your middle bearing is torn I think you should replace --or at least
re-grease- your front CV.
If you need to replace your center bearing then you will need to
remove your drive shaft. If it is not torn then you can pull your
front CV in place. It is not a fun job but you can do it in your
driveway like I did.
