Dood is blessed by audigodz with rain but thinks he's cursed. Oh the humanity!
"So God hates me....
________________________________
If you know already or not, I work at an Audi dealership. Yesterday,
there was some kind of party for a magazine launch that all the
"beautful" people would be attending. Since our dealership (five
different euro luxury brands) was advertising in said magazines, we
took a few vehicles out to display/advertise with. One of these
vehicles was the R8 we have on the lot.
Now, I've been here three years, and have gained the trust and respect
of the brand manager and the owners. They asked me to run the R8 out
to this place and pick it up later that night. (They know I won't rip
on this thing like the idiot sales guys would). The other twist to
this is that I would be picking it up well after closing time to the
store and would therefore have to stash the car in my garage
overnight. So after much arm twisting, I agree to take care of this
for them.
Here's where god hates me.....it's raining like a motherf***er out
here all day yesterday, and even worse last night. Not that I was
going to rip the car around at redline at all times (it's a "used"
vehicle with 200 miles on it, with a price tag in the 170k's, and it's
not mine), but it would have been nice to able to enjoy the back way
to my house doing at least the freaking speed limit.
Maybe it's karma kicking my ass. I did get to go the product launch in
April '07 and drive the R8 on the track and test it against the Aston,
911, and SL550 (turd). Either way, it was still an enjoyable time, and
the car is fantastic to drive, even in pouring rain.
Cliffs : Get to drive an R8 for the night and it rains like it's going
out of style."
