I blinked out my codes.  Is it safe to assume that the Black/White 
under-hood port delivers the same data as the Black/Brown/Blue ports 
under the dash?  I can't see the under-dash ports.

I only get one code:
2413 (Blink Fault Code), 00561 VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number
Mixture Adjustment, Adaptation limit exceeded, Adaptation limit not 
reached, Leakage in exhaust system before 3 Way catalytic converters, 
Incorrect signal for Mass Air Flow Sensor, Spark plugs, ignition 
coil(s), or Ignition Coil Power output stage malfunctioning
Symptom: Rich mixture, increased fuel consumption

So we're on to something here.  The code confirms all the items on my 
check list should be looked at.  Thanks guys!

One more thing.  I had my ears cleaned out this morning.  I can now hear 
that my hydraulic pump is disintegrating and I see it's bubbling fluid 
out from under the big cross pattern fastener on top.  The lesson must 
be: use caution when you ask to become intimate with your UrS.  The Audi 
gods will surely grant your wish.  The serpentine and timing belts are 
<30k old.  With a failing pump, the serp should be changed, but what 
about doing the timing belt while I'm in there?
