Doing it yourself is pretty much a no-go because of the precise ballancing
needed when it's re-assembled. If you found somebody that looks trustworthy
nearby thats a good bet.
I can ***highly*** recomend Atlantic Turbo outside of West Palm Beach, FL.
I've had him (it's a one-man show) do about 30 turbo rebuilds and was very
happy each and every time. No phone # handy, but you should find it in an
online phone book without much trouble. The only, very minor, catch is that
sometimes the phone isn't answered until late afternoon, sometimes into the
evening (east coast time) as the guy is on odd hours due to a sleep
condition. It sounds weird, and sounds like a turn-off, but really it's
seldom a noteworthy issue. His primary business is turbo's for offshore boat
racing... big f'ers.... and from what I've heard he's somewhat famous in
that group. Now may be a good time to get it done since he's usually very
busy during boat racing season through the warmer months.
