Jeff,
There has been a lot of discussion on this topic over on AW in
the past years. I was involved in a few of them.
The general consensus is that EDL will actually benefit the
torsen diff and you should not disable it. In fact EDL is also working
on your open front diff too as well as the rear.
Locker is still best for slow speed very low traction situations
but torsen + EDL is about the best you can get for all other situations
and is still a lot better than just EDL alone in low speed low traction
scenarios.
Do a search for it over there, quite a few respected members
have discussed it thoroughly.

I have this 1995.5 S6 with EDL.
I have this V8 Torsen I bought from K. Maddocks
Come April, I will be working on the suspension in the
S6 and want to
install the Torsen diff.
Question is: Since the 1995.5 ABS is not aware of the
manifold benefits
of Torsen diff, how can I disable the EDL in the car,
once the Torsen is
installed.?
Don't think I'll want to EDL the Torsen in low traction
situations,
nope, that doesn't make sense.
I checked the Fred Munro CD Rom, my 5 years of S car
list archives and
few other places.
Can't locate any information about this..
Any info here would be appreciated.
