Jeff,
There has been a lot of discussion on this topic over on AW in the past
years. I was involved in a few of them.
The general consensus is that EDL will actually benefit the torsen diff and
you should not disable it. In fact EDL is also working on your open front
diff too as well as the rear.
Locker is still best for slow speed very low traction situations but torsen
+ EDL is about the best you can get for all other situations and is still a
lot better than just EDL alone in low speed low traction scenarios.
Do a search for it over there, quite a few respected members have discussed
it thoroughly.
