Let's see...it's now been 13 months I've been arguing with the rat 
bastards at VW....

...but the annoyance with ESP was on the other GTI's I drove, too.  
Particularly noticeable with any bit of sand and much more so with the 
wheels turned with a little extra resistance.  Noticeable enough so that 
the 16 year old even commented about it on his first drive.
