[s-cars] Looking for a pre-engineered C4 UrS roll cage

To have a custom roll-cage built for the A4 that I am racing, cost me
$2500.
My cage was built to spec for both the SCCA GT & WCMA GT series, so
the first thing to do is look at the racing regulations for the cage
requirements. For example, because the A4 is pretty heavy, I had to
go with mild steel tubing of 1.750 x .120 and depending on the series
there are very specific requirements for the style of the cage.
Something else to note is that no matter what you start out with, it
WILL cost a considerable amount of money to convert any car to a
competitive track car. In other words, it will cost roughly the same
to convert a UrS car as it would to convert an A4 (just conversion not
the performance bits). So Dave if your friend wants to go down the
slippery slope to power, performance & spending lots of money; racing
is definitely it. :)
Have your friend give me a shout if he/she needs more details on
converting and racing an Audi.
Cheers
