Awesome, thanks for all the information. I just last night finally got
my freakin console back in, after being out for almost six months now I
think. I kinda shelved that line of thought until last night when the
gaping hole reminded me of it.
I had a funny feeling someone changed all the lighter socket sizes. I
don't use them very often, but there were clues that something was up.
With that in mind I'm not sure how I'll proceed. Suppose I'll start by
comparing all the things I may possibly run in the near future to the
original (busted) socket I have and see if they physically fit.
On the other hand, I got a line on a usb extender with that form factor
on one side...so you can replace your socket with a functional usb
port. Pretty cool for nerds like me.
-Cheers!
