[s-cars] WTB: late '90s A4/A6, New England area

Two points:

1.  He (or you) are best off looking on Ebay/Craigslist/Cars.com for 
one.  There are tons out there fer sure (but you already knew that).

2.  I often wonder why folks, especially looking for a car for a 
young'un (ask Bob for translation), don't look for a higher mileage 
piece.  These cars are expensive new because they are good cars.  A 
clean high mileage example would be my choice.  As in Mark's case, the 
kid will probably trash it or wreck it anyway.
The mechanics and body will be fine.  I bought a very clean, adult 
enthusiast owned 2001 S4 with 118k for $11,500 last year.  Granted an S4 
is not the best choice for a new driver but the high mileage A4's are 
far cheaper.
