All good points. I've told my friend that he should expect that the
car will be banged up at some point...thats what's keeping him away
from Hondas, etc.
He did call me to ask about a 2001 Prius for $3K.
"Car is in US, North American papers. Will be shipped anywhere for
$XX, you have 5 days to review car and return if not satisfied."
On retrospect, I think I need to take his wallet and bury it in my
backyard. He's just too gullible.
WRT the mileage -- my son bought his '97 with 135K on it last year.
We're all very happy with the choice, except that he'd prefer that
it's my '01 A4 with suspension, brakes, wheels/tires and chip.
I told him that his '97 wagon is just perfect for sitting in a
parking lot for the next 4 years while he's at school, then he can
get a more, um, interesting car.
