Bill...

Since you had the top product for silencing squeaks, what is the
"ticket" for improving a hinge that is reluctant to operate as easily as
it's other counterparts?  I have used several lubricants, but nothing
seems to work for more than a week or so.  Thanks.

Whoah Nelly!  Glad I perused this thread!  "Absolutely correct?"   Not  
maybe correct, but absolutely correct?   Moi?  I'll take it.
Dunno why everyone just doesn't do as I say.
That said, I have found another way (not recommended) to silence the
hinges and that is to simply break the motor and park the car thereby
eliminating the necessity to open them.
This is perhaps the pinnacle of S car nirvana:  A car so fast that it
does not run.
And yes Penephite IS the ticket.
