[s-cars] No heat all of a sudden.......'95 S6 Avant

Hey guys,

All winter long, I've been trying to figure out how to moderate the 
excessive heat coming from the climate control vents.  It seemed like even 
when I had the temperature down to "lo", I would get heat from the vents.  I 
dealt with it by just opening a window a little to cool off.  Now, today I 
noticed that I've got no heat.....zippo, nada, nothing.  Whether it is on 
manual, auto, defrost, A/C on or off, I can't seem to get even the slightest 
amount of heat out of anywhere.  Temp gauge and oil temp are each normal, at 
least as they have been all winter, car starts, runs and power is all there. 
I haven't run codes, etc (no VAG-Com available locally here in NW Montana, 
except at the stealer) and can't seem to find the Climate Control Diagnostic 
instructions anywhere in my archives.  Any suggestions as to where to look 
for......1- CC diagnostic instructions........2- the root cause(s) of no 
heat?  The car is a '95 S6 avant with just over 70K on the clock.  If it was 
May, I wouldn't much care, but it's still going to be cold up here for a 
month or two.
