Yes, that's more than likely the problem - but be grateful it happened where
it did.  My tee fitting busted in the middle of Turn 1 at the Glen - coolant
puked all over everything, including the track and my tires, which propelled
me on a wild, looping, long, noisy, scary trip to nearly the bottom of the
hill.  Quite insane, but no damage other than to my nervous system.  And I'm
very grateful it didn't occur in any number of other places there...

Douglas;

This is a common failure, the plastic T fitting gets old and cracks. You
will need a new T fitting, 4A0 819 497. The sensor is 025 906 041 A and its
blue.

While you are there, you might as well replace the plastic fitting at the
back of the head where the other end of the hose connects to, 034 121 143 E
and gasket N 900 351 03.
