Lee,


I haven't expereinced this yet however with my Scirocco I had a set
of pads that were too thick.

A little time with the trusty belt sander (while wearing gloves and a
mask)thinned them out with a nice bevel on the edge.

Pads wear and are easier to replace than rotors so I would
discourage turning rotors.


HTH of course I'm probably wrong so I recommend waiting for 
additional replies! :-)
