[s-cars] flare nut wrench recommendation?

the nuts are often made of soft metal, and if there's significant corrosion, they can be difficult to remove without mangling them. if you're having problems with the flare nut wrench slipping, try putting vise grips on the wrench to keep it from opening up.

Why aren't they up to the task? I use Craftsmen flare nut wrenches
regularly and they work well for me in not-as-corrosive PA.

The problem I found with the Snap-On Flare nut wrenches is that the
tolerance is so close that any nick or minor blemish on the nut will
keep the wrench from fitting on. You also have to get the exact right
angle to get it to slip on. Too tight for practical purposes IMO.

I have been moving from Snap-On toward S-K tools. Less expensive and
still great quality. Maybe not quite as good as Snap-On/MAC but plenty
good enough for a shade-tree like myself. Craftsman sockets are shit
but some of their other items are OK.
