Okay, that sounds a LOT like a very tired fuel pump. Pining for the fjords kind of tired. Or a dieing
 Cam Position Sensor (CPS). 

The CPS is NOT *supposed to* affect running, just restart.  But it does also sounds a lot like Bob 
Myers past problems that were solved by replacing the CPS.  (No 2113 code was ever thrown in
 Bob's case). 

To eliminate the fuel pump from the equation, I suggest that you test for fuel flow:
