The fact we actually have a member of this forum with an R8, makes your statement of 'ugly' seem to stand out in any context...? kinda like pouring sprite on single malt scotch.? As I see it, the S car list is the gentleman's table.? Treat it that way, it could broaden your horizons and temper your manners.? Taka, I understand exactly *what* you said, and found it well worthy of typical chat on the Audiworld forum.? 

I happen to know Pederson, Esq quite well, and claim he demonstrates himself to be an involved motorsport enthusiast.? In 17 years of my own Audi motorsport involvement, I have never met you, or know you in that context Taka. So I can only compare your 'opinion' to knowns, and think you are missing out on more than just a seat at the big table.? Adding your spritely comments below on the 911 to polish off the rest of your generous cocktail in a beer cup.... Only suggests clearly "you just don't get it".? And now that you took another careless drunken swing at Paulie's single malt of choice, I suggest you've made your point, and my counter: staggeringly clear.

I already hid the Dalwhinny and put out the Black Label.

That's one hell of a dig, Scott.

I don't share your opinion of the R8, pure and simple. I also don't share your opinion of the bloodline of the R8- it's a Gallardo and shares nothing with other Audi's other than the engine. By that token, you can call a Spyker C8 an Audi as well.


As I said twice already, I'm not talking about how the car drives, just how it looks.

I always have the question of why didn't you buy a Gallardo in my mind any time I see an R8.

I also never equated a Corvette with the R8- at the track it's close, but not at the same level. In terms of refinement, far below.


Just to piss off the "I only like German cars and everything else is crap" crowd, I'll say this- Porsche 911s are ugly too. I just love how they drive and their provenance, so I'd still buy one, regardless of how it looks.
