[s-cars] voltage regulator

Question of my own regarding this...

I saw in the family album at least 5 different regulator part numbers 
for 2 different available alternators.  I think the 90A version only 
came on 100/A6s, but that still leaves 3.  Anyone know for sure which 
p/n is the one to get?  And like Martin says, should I consider using 
something else?
