AS to the options you listed.

#1 I wouldn't go this route, pricey if obtainable

#2 While the 1.8 conversion works it's my experience the heat kills 
the coils, I've replaced 3 since May and have another failing.

#3 I'm one of the several working on the GM aka Delphi coil conversion.
I approached Apikol about manufacturing a bracket I've designed but no
they are not at this time working on a kit.

For now I'd recommend another solution, carefully wrap all the cracked
wires with electrical tape to keep them from arcing to ground. 

I'm hoping to have my Delphi solution available to share soon (relative
term soon) I have all neccesary parts (GM connectors, Audi connectors,
heat resistant tubing, coils, etc.) except the spark plug cables 
which I am about to order. My brother in law is going to help me
take my bracket from mock up to metal soon.
