And then, Bob, the rest of the incantation?  Does it involve 
sacrificing a virgin?  I'm afraid our local supply has been rather 
thoroughly depleted - remember I'm in West Virginia.  :-D  Perhaps 
throwing a handful of salt over my left shoulder might help?  :-D

Not positive, Bob, but the initiation of the problems may have come 
from such a "reboot".  The battery was disconnected for a while 
before the problems turned up.  I guess it might be worth a shot, 
though.  Thanks for the suggestion.
