--->>>>> 9 being the lowest you can get.
Ahhh YES. The evil Mass-insurance-industry-serving f-d up system. I didn't
know about the 'forgiveness clause' which is a surprise because otherwise
it's pretty brutal and punative. By definition no driver can be better than
"9". WTF?? What is the point of that?!?
I know many states suck badly but MA is right up there. You better get a
good insurer cause if you don't they will do whatever they want, and that
will mean screwing you. As far as I can tell it's industry oligopoly control
over the regulations/regulators via extreme lobbying, politico connections,
and an obscure non-transparent regulation system.
When I moved there I had an out of state open-container conviction on my
record. A MA insurer decided to "interpret" that as a DWI/DUI and revoked my
insurance. Despite letters from my old attorney regarding the actual
infraction/conviction they just stone-walled it and even refused to take my
calls. Somehow apparently they were even able to put on my record "Insurance
revoked for DUI". Despite me NEVER HAVING A DUI. Thanks Massachusetts!
Likewise I've had a number of friends dropped by their MA insurers after
they had an accident claim. Of course always with some other excuse but the
real cause was obvious...
I just hope the insurance regulators are enjoying their kickbacks and
patronage jobs.
