[s-cars] EU Light Question

I know that others have done this modification in the past (not to be
confused with installing an EU glass cover). The red wire on the EU
lights goes to a small bulb in the high beam reflector which I assume
is a day-time running light.

I have tried searching the archives but have had little luck. I
remember reading of others who have done this so I am surprised that I
can't find more in my searches. Igor even installed the motorized
adjusters I believe. I don't have those, just the complete headlight
assembly.

If anyone has suggestions on where to find write ups I would be
grateful to hear them.
