Ding in the hood would only happen if your mounts are shot.? I received same ding after installing Eibach/Bilsteins.? Seems the cupped "washer" that should be between the strutmount and the strut rod was not.? This is critical piece.? Check for it.? Let me guess, it happened on the passenger side?

Ahh, the fun never ends.
I noticed a week ago that when my car sits on the ground, my rear HR race
springs have about 5-6 turns that are actually sitting on top of each other
as opposed to having spaces in between. I haven't noticed a problem in ride
quality but my buddy doesn't think this is normal, anyone care to comment?
Also, after receiving warranty replacement HR springs for the front of the
car last year, I've noticed a ding in the hood that looks like was caused
from the top of the strut bolt hitting the underside of the hood! This only
happened on one side of the car, but is it possible my brand new strut
mounts are already dead?
Ahh, the lessons learned over the years: Never buy H&R springs, and REAALLLY
think twice about lowering a car with them :)
Thanks in advance for info,
