I do - more often than I'd like to - probably about once every two years for
the last 20 years. I've had a couple of failures (usually due to a handbrake
mechanism rusted beyond repair), and lots of successes.
You need to get a repair kit that includes the handbrake mechanism o-ring
and oil seal as these are the rubber bits in the worst condition in all the
calipers I've dismantled. Lots of repair kits don't include these in which
case you need to source them separately.
