Bill, 

I couldn't find anything that would work good enough when mine 
failed in the middle of amishvilla PA. 

here is a link to my Audiworld post on how I temporarily repaired 
my hose using a rubber plumbing coupler, a pice of pipe and a couple 
clamps. 

It worked quite well
