Thanks Jeff and Peter for the info.

This is good info. Maybe come the spring thaw I'll have a looksee into
rebuilding, but that sounds like "work." For now, new cables, rotors and
pads have done the trick. I may still try my "Idiot Engineering" idea of
some Teflon slip sheets, although slipping them in there may be no easy
task.

Will also look at wifes "AlumiBitch" (hijacked name) A8 rear brakes as they
are probably due a rotor pad change come the spring thaw. Oddly enough the
ebrake is the only thing not working on the car. It feels totally froze,
but she just uses Park anyhoo. Most suspect is one of her hundred lost
teacher pens, and/or pencils lodged in some gear under the console. I'm a
gonna keep my eyes open for some A8 rear calipers though, as that sounds
like the best permanent solution.

I've done some rear brakes on my daughters cars and in their Japanese
geniusness, Honda had engineered a splash shield in front of the ebrake
spring. What a crazy, nutty, goofy idea !

Ps Remember the HaperSized rear Porshce brake install? Worked so well, the
car has not moved since me thinks;)
