I don't think 10 minutes is enough, at least not in the US with time exchange rates the way they are.? How long did the CAA man say to run it?
I personally find it easier to remove a battery from a seldom used car and put it on a trickle charger...in fact I did just that about 10 minutes ago to my daughters car after she returned to school.

Bob?? Milwaukee, Wi??? a balmy, sunny 21F [which feels great after the below zero stuff last week]

Subject: [s-cars] Battery in Cold Weather

Hi all,

Left 1986 Type 44 Turbo Quattro 3 days at temps -20C to -10C without
starting. When it was -12C, car engine turned over slowly. Radio indicated
"code", One boost from the CAA and car started quickly. Battery is 1 year
old from the Canadian Automobile Association. I start car every 2 days and
run for 10 minutes.

Don't use the car much. But if the temp is that cold for days, then was
advised by CAA man to start every day and let run.

Comments.

Max
