Hi Manny,

I hope the re-sync protocols worked for you and solved your problem.
I have
similar problems with 95.5 URS6 avant. It is similarly frigid here
which has
resulted in a lack of action on my part. The remote will not unlock
the doors,
only lock them. Press the remote unlock and the lights just flash.
In normal
operation, the locking system will lock the doors if none are opened
after a
delay period. If I unlock the drivers door or all doors with a double-
click the
immobilizer remains activated and the car will not start. The sunroof
panel
overhead light is kept in the on when door is opened position but does
not
come on at this time. If I lock and unlock the drivers door again the
alarm will
sound when door is opened. I haven't gotten to a full re-sync yet.

I have discovered that if I lock the car with the remote and then
unlock the
hatch with the key and move quickly to unlock the drivers door with
the key
before the delay ends and doors lock and alarm arms again, the overhead
light comes on when the door is unlocked -- the immobilizer is disarmed
and the car starts normally. I unlock the other doors with the switch
on drivers
door if needed.

Since I am the only operator of this vehicle, I haven't had any
pressure to
proceed further. I have no idea so far why this works. The alarm and
immobilizer are so integrated into the electrical system that I do not
think
inactivating them is an option.

Tom
