I disagree with 2 items suggested here...

"timing belt tensioner, cam seal, crankshaft seal, camshaft position sensor"

I had a shop ruin the oil pump ($400) because they mangled the removal of
the crankshaft seal on my 93 S4 (same 2.2t as yours)...and it wasn't leaking
at 150K. So approach that decision with caution. 

I've had no problems with timing sensors and I'm at 210K now. 

And I think Theodore meant to add water pump to the list...they're cheap
enough.
