[s-cars] A Different Brake Light Question

Ok, the system leaks, Douglas. You can't expect the system to hold
pressure if
if can't hold fluid. The banjo bolts do have very small screens in
them. The
reservoir screen is easier to see. Is it clean and the fluid clear?
You haven't said how many pumps the accumulator has after sitting for
a while,
but if the light is always on at start, it can't be many.
That hose with the fat insulation around it has a "J" shape to the
hard tubing
portion at the pump, hence the alias "J" hose. I have part#4A0 612 065,
which a cursory check with Miramar Audi finds it listed for $605/
selling for $435.60.
This is the reason so much traffic on this list is devoted to HOH in
Spokane, WA
who do a bang-up repair job for around $75. Hint: Clean the soaked
insulation
first since you want them to reuse it-they won't do housekeeping.
If leaving your car inoperative for the repair period is not
attractive, I have my
spare HOH repaired hose available for a swap. You can contact me off
list.
