You can identify genuine MTM chips with VCDS (VAG-COM) while installed  
in the car. I don't know if any of the code would identify the dealer  
though, and I don't know if Hoppen marked the chips or ECU to identify  
them as the installer or selling dealer.  I believe Hoppen is the NA  
distributor for MTM products but there were/are other retail dealers,  
i.e., Anderson Motorsports,  I don't see anything Anderson did for  
identity, other than an invoice/receipt.  Hoppen could surely tell you.
