Replacing the cluster lamps is very to do.  The temperature backlight is a
little more touchy but doable if you have a soldering iron with a fine tip.

Cluster Bulb upgrades (2W bulb) - PN = 893919040A
These are actually VW sourced so you can get them at a VW parts counter if
they have them in stock.  Call first.

Temperature Backlight - Radio Shack #7219 Micro Lamp 12V 60ma

I needed 9 bulbs for my 97 S6.

I was back in MA/NH for a day a couple of weeks back, and got to ride  
in Marc Swanson's green urS6avant.
I realized how much I miss mine.

Anyone have a nice Europa Blue 95.5 avant for a song? :)

Hi all, 
I'm looking for a source of replacement bulbs for my cluster ('95 S6). I
have some of them out and thought I'd buy all new (should be cheap enough)
and swap'em all. Is there a DYI on it anywhere? I don't want to miss any
bulbs that might be hiding places only VAG engineers could think of ;)
