[s-cars] Adjusting shifter linkage, advice needed. 95 S6

Hi James,

Are you sure your gear linkage is not bent nor is it worn out? Another
potential is worn engine mounts or transmission mounts... It's very
particular about being lined up correctly... I would give this some
consideration before thinking that the clutch is not fully disengaged.

Subject: [s-cars] Adjusting shifter linkage, advice needed. 95 S6

All,

Anyone have a been there/done that for adjusting the gear linkage. I
just got the car back up and running after doing the clutch and a bunch
of misc work. I have adjusted the shift linkage probably 20 times and
can't seem to get it right. 1-5 work just fine, but for some reason
getting into reverse is almost impossible. This is really frustrating
me. Any advice would be helpful. Right now the linkage is set so that
the shifter is strait up in neutral, however I am going to try slightly
to the passenger side of that setting tomorrow.

Thanks,

James Shackelford
